TEMECULA, Calif. (January 10, 2022) – More than 40 football greats who once wore the lightning bolt on their jersey met up on the green to kick off Chargers Legends Weekend. This time, the Legends gathered to put their golf games to the test for the Legends Weekend Golf Tournament.
Held at Journey at Pechanga at Pechanga Resort Casino on Friday, December 10, players such as LaDainian Tomlinson, Hank Bauer, Kassim Osgood, Kenny Green, Peter Shaw, Drayton Florence and many more came to the Temecula resort for the chance to show off their swings, and to reminisce on stories from the gridiron.
“These are guys you spent a lot of time with through our playing career,” said Chargers Hall of Fame Running Back, LaDainian Tomlinson. “A lot of the guys are like brothers. You talk with them on a regular basis, you pray for their families and when we get the chance to come together, it’s like we’ve never been apart.”
“It’s good to see some of the old guys, and some of the younger ones, too,” said Former Chargers WR Kassim Osgood. “It’s a great event and Pechanga is really pretty out here. I haven’t been out here for a long time. It’s got a good hometown feel.”
