Snoqualmie Casino has a mission: to develop an entire organization full of leaders, no matter what position. With their upcoming expansion, leadership foundation courses will be offered to close to 1,300 team members so they can develop the skills to bring out the best in others.
In this interview, Deana Scott sat down with Tony White, Human Resources Training Manager; Takako Wright, Tribal Development Manager and Stanford Le, CEO and President of Snoqualmie Casino to talk about this goal and how the entire organization is focused on foundational skills that include learning to build trust, utilizing effective communication, and many points in between.
Beyond Leadership – Programs and Opportunities to Support a Positive Work Environment
Snoqualmie Casino focuses on more than leadership training; it also offers special programs to support its employees, many of whom are learning English as their second language. To extend its positive influence beyond the work environment, the casino collaborates with a nearby college to provide various classes for team members.
This investment in their team members goes hand in hand with a multi-phase expansion. Set to open in early 2025, this includes a new hotel, expanded gaming floor, destination spa, a 2,000-seat entertainment and convention center, parking structure, and two signature restaurants with a third to open later.
Just 30 minutes from downtown Seattle and the home fields of the Seahawks, Sounders and Mariners, Snoqualmie Casino combines breathtaking valley views with a sophisticated gaming setting, featuring Washington’s first sportsbook, nearly 1,700 state-of-the-art slot machines, 55 classic table games – including blackjack, roulette, and baccarat. Snoqualmie Casino also features national entertainment in an intimate setting, with five distinct dining experiences, and the region’s best cigar lounge. For more information, visit www.snocasino.com.
