EL CAJON, Calif. (July 14, 2025)– Sycuan Casino Resort is proud to announce the debut of El Río, the casino’s first Latino poolside summer concert series. Hosted at Retreat Pool & Cabanas, the casino’s pool venue will bring the culture, traditions and sounds of Latino music with live concerts starting in July.
La Sonora Santanera Tributo a Carlos Colorado y La Gran Sonora Dinamita will kick off the pool party series at 8 p.m. Thursday, July 30. The group will pay a tribute to La Sonora Santanera and La Gran Sonora Dinamita, where guests can dance and sing along to cumbia, mambo and other tropical Latino favorites, including “Mi Cucu,” “Perfume de Gardenias” and “Oye.” Tickets start at $19 when purchased through the Sycuan App or at the Box Office. Tickets may also be purchased online. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The El Río concert series will continue throughout the summer, with the next concert scheduled on Thursday, Sept. 24. Sycuan Casino Resort will announce upcoming performers soon.
Attendees will have full access to Retreat Pool & Cabanas, featuring an expansive pool deck with two pools, a lazy river, a swim-up bar and hot tubs. Cabanas will be available to reserve for those seeking added comfort. The pool venue will also offer a limited-time menu with standout food options like the Retreat Nachos and Classic Buffalo Wings, and signature cocktails such as the Golden Hour.
Inspired by The River at Sycuan, El Río expands on Sycuan’s entertainment offerings from its continued success of its country poolside concert series. This new addition also reflects Sycuan Casino Resort’s commitment to delivering diverse and inclusive entertainment experiences in the San Diego community.
