Annual conference to take place at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut
Washington DC, (July 16, 2019) – The National Indian Gaming Association announced today that registration is now available for the 2019 Mid-Year Conference & Expo which will be taking place September 17-19, 2019 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT. The annual event is the meeting place for leaders in the tribal gaming community to learn, network, and share ideas on today’s hottest topics in gaming. The theme of the 2019 event will be Election 2020: The Year That Mattered.
National Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr. commented, “We are looking forward to bringing together gaming and political leaders for an honest discussion of the future as we head into an election year. As political leadership and policies are up for change, we need to have continued discussions to ensure we represent and advocate for tribal gaming, which represents a $34 billion dollar and growing industry, but more importantly supports families and Indian Country.” He continued, “We look forward to conversations that will lead to the continued success and prosperity of Tribal gaming.”
The 2019 conference will feature education sessions with topics including Election 2020 and Tribal Gaming, sports betting updates, leadership changes to the National Indian Gaming Commission, and more. The event will also include the National Indian Gaming Association Membership Meeting with featured speakers and presentations as well as Level 3 and Master Series Commissioner Certification. In addition, gaming professionals will have the opportunity to see industry leading new products and technologies from event sponsors and exhibitors.
A highlight of the Mid-Year Conference & Expo are the continued networking opportunities available that allow for new connections and idea sharing. This year’s schedule will include the annual golf
tournament, welcome reception, and John Kieffer Awards Luncheon, which honors a leader for their embodiment of NIGA’s mission and purpose and advocacy on behalf of Indian sovereignty and economic development.
