COWETA, OKLA (March 2, 2026) Leaders from the Muscogee Nation and the Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises held a ceremonial ribbon cutting today to open the doors on its $100 million capital investment, the new Coweta Casino Hotel.
The 104,000 square-foot development features a 35,000 square-foot casino with 750 new, state-of-the art gaming machines. The Coweta Casino Hotel is located on 17 acres at the southeast corner of East 131st Street South and State Highway 51 in Coweta, Okla. The project benefits regional tourism with an upscale, 46-room hotel with a pool, fitness center, concierge services, and a meeting and event space to accommodate as many as 150 guests.
“The Coweta Casino Hotel represents a significant milestone,” Principal Chief David Hill said. “Through capital investments, we honor our heritage by ensuring that lives are improved, opportunities are created and a better future becomes possible for all. This development strengthens regional tourism and welcomes visitors from across Oklahoma and beyond, offering premier entertainment and hospitality while showcasing the beauty of our land and the culture of our citizens.”
The Coweta Casino Hotel includes a raised center casino bar, full-service, 150-seat restaurant and private dining room. Externally, visitors are welcomed by a 1,000-space, paved parking lot and a vibrant porte-cochère entrance. Additional hospitality and service options include Mazzio’s Go, a grab-and-go food counter for guests.
The property boasts two entrances, one directly into the casino and a separate entrance into the hotel lobby. The design includes a spacious walk through connecting the hotel lobby to the casino and restaurant.

The Coweta Casino Hotel lobby features commissioned artwork by Muscogee Nation artist Carly Treece, created to welcome guests and celebrate the rich history of the region. The powerful artwork titled Kvwetv honors one of the four original Mother Towns of the Muscogee Nation, historically located along the Chattahoochee River. The river is depicted across three central panels, symbolizing the lifeblood of Muscogee towns – a source of ceremony, governance, trade and connection. The surrounding panels are layered with natural materials including ash, charcoal
and soil gathered on Muscogee land.

According to the Tulsa Regional Chamber’s economic impact report:
- During the construction phase, the capital investment in the Coweta Casino Hotel supported an estimated 501 jobs in the region providing $22.6 million in income for a total economic impact of $132.5 million in the Wagoner County region.
- Now fully operational, the Coweta Casino Hotel creates 250 new, direct jobs that will support an additional 346 indirect jobs in the community for a total of 596 jobs across the Wagoner County region. Together, these jobs will create $27.5 million in new income annually.
- The annual spending on operations through the purchase of goods and services will also contribute to the positive economic impact in the region.
