Norm Macdonald at the Diamond Center on Nov. 16

Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment welcomes Norm Macdonald to the Diamond Center on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2019. Tickets start at $20 and are on sale now. Tickets can be purchased through Star Tickets and at Desert Diamond Casino’s Box Office. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. This is an 18+ show.

Norm Macdonald is best known for his four-year stint on Saturday Night Live (SNL) where Chevy Chase noted he was the best anchor to ever grace the chair. He is a favorite guest on late night shows, having performed the final stand-up set ever on David Letterman. Letterman referred to Macdonald as the funniest man in the world. Conan O’Brien also lists Macdonald as his favorite guest. After leaving SNL, Macdonald starred in several movies, including cult classic “Dirty Work,” and “Billy Madison.” Macdonald also starred in three television series, was a judge on “Last Comic Standing,” and portrayed Colonel Sanders in an avant-garde series of spots for KFC.

His tour-de force anti-comedy roast of Bob Saget became an instant classic, as well as the five-minute “Moth Joke” on Conan which received a full one-minute laugh. His most recent credits include voiceover work for Activision Blizzard’s “Skylanders Academy,” Adult Swim’s “Mike Tyson Mysteries,” and guest starring in Netflix’s original series “Girlboss.” In 2017, Macdonald released his own special titled “Norm Macdonald: Hitler’s Dog Gossip & Trickery.” He currently hosts “Norm Macdonald has a Show.”

It is still Macdonald’s stand-up which is his pure gift. His 2011 Comedy Special “Me Doing Stand-up” was hailed by The Guardian as one of the best Stand-up Specials of all time and Comedy Central named him in their top 100 comedians of all time.

Treena Parvello, Director of Public Relations and Communications for the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, said, “Norm Macdonald never reuses material so you know his show at the Diamond Center on Nov. 16 will be one-of-a-kind! Macdonald is a stand-up comedian who must be seen to be believed and you can see him at Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment for as little as $20!”
