Join the Department of the Interior for a Tribal Leader Conference Call on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 regarding the Distribution of CARES Act BIA and BIE Funding

Today, April 13, 2020, the Department of the Interior announced plans for the distribution of $522 million in CARES Act resources for coronavirus (COVID-19) prevention, preparedness, and response in American Indian and Alaska Native communities. These funds include $453 million to be administered by the Bureau of Indian Affairs and $69 million to be administered by the Bureau of Indian Education. 
 
The Assistant Secretary will host a tribal leader conference call on Wednesday, April 15, 2020, from 3:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. (EDT) to discuss the distribution of these funds. All tribal leaders are encouraged to attend.
