Chef Robb Wyss Joins Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento

Illinois native trained in Napa Valley and ran kitchens in Chicago and Tahoe region since 2002

Wheatland, Calif. (August 31, 2023) — Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento is proud to introduce the new farm to fork focused chef for their award-winning Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, Robb Wyss (pron. WEES) as Council Oak Room Chef. Having grown up tending to his grandmother’s farm in Illinois, farm to fork is part of his DNA.

Farm to Fork has been Chef Robb Wyss’ life since he was a young boy helping his grandma with her garden on the family farm in Peoria, Illinois. After completing his Culinary Arts Degree at Napa Valley Cooking School in St. Helena, Wyss took his first job in the Windy City of Chicago with Bin 36 at the House of Blue Hotel and later worked at the Illini Country Club in his first stint as Executive Chef. In the summer of 2013, he returned to California and was the Executive Chef at Tahoe City favorite, Sunnyside Resort until 2017. He has since held executive chef positions at The Green Room Social Club in Placerville, West Shore Cafe & Inn in Tahoe and at Christy Hill Lake Side Bistro in Tahoe City before joining Hard Rock Sacramento this summer.
