LAS VEGAS (September 24, 2026) — Tribal leaders from across Indian Country will gather in Las Vegas this October to explore how stronger governance, modern financial systems, including AI, and informed leadership can help Tribal Nations pursue economic opportunities while protecting sovereignty and advancing long-term community priorities.
Hosted by REDW Advisors & CPAs, the 4th Annual Tribal Leadership & Management Conference will take place Oct. 14-15 at South Point Hotel, Casino & Spa. The conference will bring together elected officials, administrators, enterprise leaders, board and commission members, department heads and emerging leaders from Tribes across Indian Country for practical conversations about strengthening organizational capacity and navigating shared challenges.
The conference will explore opportunities facing Tribal Nations and the financial, governance and operational foundations needed to translate those opportunities into lasting community prosperity.
Presentation topics will address:
- Building economic and community prosperity by evaluating opportunities through the lenses of financial viability, workforce impact, cultural alignment and long-term community benefit;
- Modernizing financial systems, improving financial literacy and using data to give Tribal councils greater visibility and support informed oversight;
- Using AI in finance, human resources and operations while protecting sensitive data, decision-making authority and Tribal sovereignty;
- Strengthening governance by clarifying the respective roles of councils, boards, executives and operational leaders;
- Preparing leaders and organizations to manage risk, communicate through difficult decisions and navigate periods of growth and change.
“We created this conference for Tribal leaders as a place where the conversations are real, the learning is practical and the people at the table understand the work,” said Karla Bylund, a principal at REDW and founder of the Tribal Leadership & Management Conference. “Our goal is for attendees to leave with relationships and ideas they can take home and put to work in ways that reflect the priorities of their own communities.”
This year marks a new chapter for the conference following the strategic acquisition by REDW of Soaring Bird Solutions earlier this year. Bylund, a member of the Citizen Potawatomi Nation, joined REDW as a principal leading the Tribal HR Consulting practice.
REDW is continuing the conference’s original purpose while bringing a broader multidisciplinary advisory platform to the program.
