Minnesota Twins and Treasure Island Resort & Casino to surprise Pine Island youth with Junior Twins Equipment Kits

Items will benefit Pine Island Baseball Association and Pine Island Panther Strikes Softball Association

(June 9, 2026) — WHAT: The Minnesota Twins Community Fund and Treasure Island Resort & Casino are surprising the Pine Island Baseball Association and the Pine Island Panther Strikes Softball Association with eight Junior Twins Equipment Kits packed with brand-new gear at 5:30pm Wednesday, June 10. The organizations will also offer kids Twins tickets, and Trailhead Grill will provide pizza for the kit unveiling, which will take place ahead of games at the softball fields and feature an appearance from former Twins catcher Tim Laudner.

Through funds raised by Treasure Island’s Destination Home Run program, the Minnesota Twins Community Fund provides Junior Twins Equipment Kits to youth baseball and softball organizations in the Upper Midwest. The kits, designed for kids ages 4-12, include items like baseballs and softballs, gloves, helmets, T-ball tees and more. The Twins Community Fund and Treasure Island are providing six baseball and two softball kits to the Pine Island organizations and have given 122 equipment kits to 38 communities overall this year.
