Grammy-nominated Vanilla Ice heads to Qualla Ballroom Feb. 13

Iconic rapper set to ‘Play That Funky Music’ at Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs

Vanilla IceWEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. – Vanilla Ice has consistently toured since he exploded onto the rap and hip-hop scene in 1990, offering his unmatched energy to fans across the globe. On Feb. 13, the chart-topping rapper and actor visits the Qualla Ballroom inside Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs for an unforgettable performance.

The concert begins at 8 p.m. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Robert Van Winkle, known to the music world as Vanilla Ice, released his debut album, “To the Extreme,” which seemed to prophesy the success the album would soon have. The 1990 record quickly became the fastest-selling hip-hop album of all time, with more than 10 million albums sold in four months and spending 16 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

The seven-time, RIAA certified platinum album featured the hit songs “Play That Funky Music” and “Ice Ice Baby,” reaching No. 4 and No. 1 on the Billboard charts, respectively. Vanilla Ice’s discography consists of a total of six studio albums, two compilations, one live album, one remix record and 13 singles. Other fan-favorites include “I Love You,” “Rollin in My 5.0” and “Cool as Ice (Everybody Get Loose),” featuring Naomi Campbell.

Vanilla Ice has had great success on the big screen as well, appearing in the credits of various movies and TV shows over the past three decades. His most recent venture, “The Vanilla Ice Project,” is his own TV show on the DIY network and recently won the Factual Award for Best Home TV Show.

The multitalented artist has two MTV awards and a People’s Choice Award and was nominated for a 1991 Grammy for the Best Solo Rap Performance.
