JAMUL, CA (August 13, 2026) —Jamul Casino Resort today announced that Mary Cheeks will conclude her tenure as President and General Manager following years of leadership marked by significant growth, transformation, and expansion of the resort.
Since joining Jamul Casino Resort in 2018, Cheeks has played a central role in the strategic evolution of the property, strengthening its position within the highly competitive Southern California gaming and hospitality market and helping establish a strong foundation for continued growth.
Most recently, Cheeks led the development and successful opening of Jamul Casino Resort’s boutique hotel, representing a significant milestone in the property’s evolution from a gaming destination into a more comprehensive hospitality and entertainment experience.
Throughout her tenure, Cheeks has focused on organizational development, operational performance, guest experience, community engagement, and building the leadership capabilities necessary to support the property’s long-term success.
“Leading Jamul Casino Resort through this important period of growth and transformation has been an extraordinary privilege,” said Cheeks. “I am proud of what our team has accomplished together, particularly the evolution of the property and the successful opening of our hotel. The Jamul Indian Village Development Council (JIVDC) expressed its appreciation for Cheeks’s leadership and contributions to the organization.
