Carl’s first exhibition was met with enthusiasm from guests and the local community, and Blue Lake Casino Hotel is proud to bring his work back to the gallery for a new collection of pieces rooted in nature, culture, and heritage.

Carl Avery is a self-taught artist who has pursued his craft professionally since 2007, building a career painting murals, designing logos, and operating an online platform where he sells his Native American art and prints. Raised on the Hupa reservation, the Yurok artist draws deep inspiration from nature and cultural design. For the past decade, Carl has painted murals throughout Northern California, using his public art as a native voice within an evolving culture.
