TUCSON, Ariz. (August 20, 2025) — Casino Del Sol is proud to announce its 10th Charity Golf Tournament, taking place October 22–23, 2025, at the award-winning Sewailo Golf Club. This milestone event will benefit two remarkable nonprofits: More Than a Bed (MTAB) and the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Charitable Organization (PYTCO) — both dedicated to uplifting local families, children, and community members in need.
Funds raised will support MTaB’s work of providing essential items—beds, clothing, shoes, diapers, toys, support resources, and more—at no cost to foster, kinship, and adoptive families, including children in congregate care settings, and PYTCO’s work improving the lives of Pascua Yaqui community members through charitable, cultural, and educational programs.
About the Beneficiaries
More Than a Bed, founded in 2014 by Grace Stocksdale, began in a garage and has grown into a powerful force for good, now operating two 5,000-square-foot warehouses. In June alone, the nonprofit supported over 350 foster families and 1,000 children, distributing nearly 500 pairs of shoes. “Some of these kids have come out of incredibly difficult situations, things most of us can’t even imagine,” said Stocksdale. “We want every child to have clean, dignified essentials they can call their own.”
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe Charitable Organization provides assistance and programs that improve the economic, social, and physical well-being of Pascua Yaqui community members. “PYTCO is grateful for Casino Del Sol’s commitment to our community,” said Veronica Salazar, Interim Program Manager/Director. “These funds allow us to continue programs that empower Pascua Yaqui families to thrive, from cultural preservation to educational support.”
The tournament anticipates a sold-out event and will feature sponsored holes, special events, and record-level sponsorships at the Onyx, Ruby, and Jade levels. Casino Del Sol has hosted the Charity Golf Tournament since 2015 (with a pause in 2020 due to COVID-19). Past beneficiaries include The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Homicide Survivors, Inc., and Youth on Their Own.
The event will kick off with breakfast and brief remarks from Casino Del Sol management, with additional comments (time permitting) from More Than a Bed and PYTCO representatives.
