Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento Celebrates Five Years of Success and Meaningful Impact on the Greater Sacramento Region

Property gears up for next phase of expansion in Wheatland’s sports and entertainment district with adjacent land purchase

Wheatland, Calif. (November 14, 2024) — Hard Rock® Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, owned by Estom Yumeka Maidu Tribe of the Enterprise Rancheria, is celebrating its fifth anniversary throughout November. Hard Rock Sacramento, located off Highway 65 and Forty Mile Road in Wheatland near Toyota Amphitheatre, continues to captivate millions of guests annually with its famed Hard Rock “authentic experiences that ROCK!” When the property opened it marked a historic partnership between two Native American Tribes – The Seminole Tribe of Florida, owners of Hard Rock® International, and Enterprise Rancheria. Hard Rock Sacramento is currently in the process of purchasing the 342 acres of land between its property and the Toyota® Amphitheatre on Forty Mile Road. Hard Rock Sacramento and Enterprise Rancheria are finalizing their due diligence and their initial development plans for the new property to expand the sports and entertainment district which will benefit the entire region.

The casino officially opened on October 30, 2019, and despite weathering a pandemic four months after opening, it’s had five years of successful operations and an economic impact on the greater Sacramento six-county region of just over $2 Billion according to the Yuba-Sutter Economic Development Corporation. Roughly 25% of the more than 1,400 employees have been a part of delivering the signature Hard Rock Experience since opening. Hard Rock Sacramento continues to be a major employer in the Yuba-Sutter area with 65% of its employees residing in Yuba and Sutter Counties.

Hard Rock Sacramento and the Enterprise Rancheria have jointly donated $3.5 Million to local nonprofits in the region over the past five years. The Enterprise Rancheria Tribe’s Enterprise Community Fund and Hard Rock Sacramento recently announced a $1 million gift to Sutter Medical Foundation over the next five years. This landmark donation, the largest ever received by the Sutter Medical Foundation, will provide much-needed support to the greater Yuba-Sutter County cancer patient and family population through programs, services, equipment, and more.

The casino is celebrating its fifth anniversary with gifts for their community Unity cardholder guests each Friday in November. Last week they offered a special commemorative chip and on November 8 guests will receive an exclusive lanyard/pin, a Hard Rock signature tradition.  On November 15 guests will receive a stylish customized Thermos Mug, on November 22 they will distribute a branded hat, and on November 29, Black Friday, a limited-edition Five-Year Anniversary T-shirt.

Hard Rock Sacramento’s restaurants include the Wine Spectator award-winning Council Oak Steaks and Seafood, the iconic Hard Rock Café, YOUYU Asian Bistro, Fresh Harvest Buffet, and Constant Grind coffee house. Hard Rock Café will celebrate throughout November with a buy one, get one deal on $5 Burgers which will include the popular “celebrity burgers” it has featured. Throughout the property, a “Fire Mountain cocktail” is available for $5.

In June 2022, Hard Rock Sacramento celebrated the completion of its Phase Two expansion just two and a half years after it opened. This included the development of its Rocktane gas station and Hard Rock Live which opened featuring Maroon 5. Hard Rock Live has since hosted 170 shows, sold 300,983 tickets, and generated more than $21 million in ticket revenue. It has proudly featured 158 artists across 22 genres, including memorable performances by Demi Lovato, Chris Rock, and Sting. The gas station has pumped an impressive 17,650,658 gallons of gas, saving Unity cardholders over $1.4 Million on fuel costs. Between the iconic Rock Shop and the gift shop in Rocktane, it has sold more than 34,000 collectible custom Hard Rock pins.

“As we celebrate the fifth anniversary of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento at Fire Mountain, we are most proud of the $2 Billion economic impact the property has had on the entire six-county region.  This includes more than $3.5 Million in charitable donations and in-kind gifts that Hard Rock Sacramento and the Tribe have already made to philanthropies throughout Northern California,” said Mark Birtha, President of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sacramento. “We plan to continue to expand that commitment as we look forward to fulfilling our $1 Million commitment to Sutter Medical Foundation in Yuba-Sutter and developing the sports and entertainment district between us and the Amphitheatre over the next five years. We plan to continue the evolution of our positive impact on those in need in our region while also reinvesting in the lifestyle amenities guests in Northern California deserve.”
