What can a local Australian club learn at G2E? For Daniel Munk, CEO, Wests Illawarra Hospitality Group, G2E offers an opportunity to meet and greet people from “outside of Vegas, in Vegas.”
Munk said he has been inspired by tribal casinos; many started off small. “They all seem to have a longer-term view … and … they take their communities with them.”
As a local organization, Wests Illawarra Leagues Club contributes over a million dollars a year to their sports community. In this interview with Deana Scott, CEO, Raving and Tribal Gaming & Hospitality Magazine (TG&H) he discusses their focus of customer service in a highly competitive market and how he wants to take it to a different level. With their members visiting three to four times a week, “We’ve got to keep the place fresh. Being big isn’t the answer … it’s how can we be agile … and what is important in the community?”
