Film Star Mark Wahlberg Wows Morongo Guests During Wahlburgers Visit

Blockbuster actor known for such films as Boogie Nights, The Other Guys and The Departed dazzles guests at the popular restaurant inside the Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa.

Hollywood superstar Mark Wahlberg and Morongo roller-skater Cynthia Lopez are all smiles during his visit this week to the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa.

Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa (June 21, 2025) — Hollywood superstar Mark Wahlberg added a little sizzle to his family’s namesake fast-casual restaurant at the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa during an impromptu visit where he mingled with casino guests and diners at Wahlburgers on Wednesday, June 17.

Wahlberg joked with starstruck Morongo guests, posed for selfies, traded hugs, and shared stories with excited patrons and Wahlburgers’ team members. Wahlberg later posted a video of the visit to his official Instagram page at https://www.instagram.com/p/DLFp1-hRJX5/

“We’re delighted to have welcomed Mr. Wahlberg back to Morongo for another visit to the first Wahlburgers in the nation to open in a tribal casino,” said Morongo’s Chief Executive Officer Mike Bean. “It just goes to show that you never know what celebrity you’ll bump into next at Morongo.”

An actor, producer and music legend, Wahlberg is no stranger to Morongo, which served as the backdrop for scenes in his 2014 film, “The Gambler.”

Founded by brothers Mark, Donnie, and Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg, the restaurant enterprise was the subject of A&E Network’s Emmy-nominated reality show, “Wahlburgers” for ten seasons. The fast casual eatery features a chef-inspired menu that emphasizes made-to-order, high-quality, delicious food inspired by family favorite recipes.

The Wahlburgers at Morongo opened in 2021 and features a stage for live music and an expansive 30-foot LED video wall where guests can cheer for their favorite sports teams while enjoying the restaurant’s signature burger concepts, as well as sandwiches, hoagies, wings and shakes.

“Our guests were beyond thrilled to meet Mr. Wahlberg, and I suspect this won’t be the last time he pops in to spend some time at Morongo,” Bean said.
