(June 26, 2023) — Immersive Studios, a leading audio-visual (AV) engineering division of the award-winning FEA Consulting Engineers firm, has broken records with the installation of the largest LED sportsbook in Arizona. Partnering with Gila River Resorts & Casinos newest Santan Mountain Casino on the southern edge of Chandler, Arizona, Immersive Studios designed a massive three-panel high-resolution LED screen that expands to a combined 129 feet wide.
Get ready for an epic sports viewing experience at Santan Mountain’s new sportsbook!
“The installation and operation will be unique because of the technology behind the sportsbook and the rest of the casino that gives guests a completely grand experience that is unlike any other casino in Arizona,” said Art Vivas, Director of Innovation and Design at Immersive Studios.
This stunning venue boasts a massive 95-foot-wide LED video wall made up of 1.8mm pixel pitch LED panels by Planar. With over 27.6 million pixels, this screen is sure to capture every detail of its sporting events. Add in two additional LED video walls to serve as tickers and other video content (one on each side of the main video wall), and Santan Mountain will have collectively one of the largest sportsbook viewing LED video walls in the state, at over 129 feet.
At the heart of the sports book is a high-end performance sound system, which is sure to deliver an unparalleled listening experience with vibrant sound and powerful bass that fills the room. The sportsbook was designed to double as a state-of-the-art entertainment venue, with an advanced DJ setup system that includes audio and screen takeover options.
“It has been an incredible experience partnering with Gila River Indian Community on this project and bringing their vision for the Immersive LED sportsbook to life,” said Vivas.
“We wanted to create a place where people truly feel a part of the experience that Santan has to offer, so we designed a high-performance sound system along with an amazing quality video wall product in Planar’s LED panels.”
But that’s not all – Not too far from the sports book is Santan’s feature center bar “HIVE.” The center bar features a 5-foot-high LED Halo measuring over 57 feet in diameter with an incredible 1.9mm pixel pitch and over 21.8 million pixels with the Planar Carbon Flex LED panels.
Rounding out the experience, is a 360-degree high-end performance sound system designed to carry the immersive experience from the sports book to the center bar. LED lighting runs throughout the beams and on the ceiling, as well as six televisions overhead, so that you won’t miss a single moment of the action.

Gila River’s Santan Mountain broke ground in October of 2021 and is scheduled to open this summer. FEA Consulting Engineers is one of the country’s top hospitality engineering design firms in the country, having provided services for Resorts World Las Vegas, Circa Resort Las Vegas, and Sky River Casino in Northern California. Immersive Studios provided the advanced distributed audio for Vanderpump à Paris on the Las Vegas Strip along with The Bedford by Martha Stewart.
