Casino Del Sol and University of Arizona Announce Historic 20-Year Stadium Naming Rights Partnership

TUCSON, AZ. (November 18, 2025) — Casino Del Sol, an enterprise of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe, and the University of Arizona today announced a transformative 20-year naming rights partnership for Arizona Stadium. Under the agreement, valued at more than $60 million, the venue will be known as Casino Del Sol Stadium—marking the largest such partnership in Big 12 Conference history.

The collaboration reflects the shared values between the Pascua Yaqui Tribe and the University of Arizona: a commitment to education, cultural preservation, and creating pathways to opportunity for students, families, and communities across Southern Arizona.

“This partnership gives us the opportunity to share our story on one of the biggest stages in college athletics,” said Amanda Sampson Lomayesva, Interim CEO of Casino Del Sol. “From the heart of Tucson to fans across the country, Casino Del Sol is proud to stand with the University of Arizona in celebrating community, culture, and the Wildcat spirit that unites Southern Arizona.”

As part of the agreement, Casino Del Sol joins Arizona Athletics’ top tier of corporate and community investors as a Pillar Partner, with category exclusivity in casino, gaming, and resorts beginning next fiscal year. The partnership includes new exterior and interior branding, field logos, digital platforms, and expanded integration into national television broadcasts.

Beyond visibility, the partnership prioritizes meaningful collaboration. Through new programs and co-created initiatives, Casino Del Sol and the University of Arizona will deepen academic, cultural, and economic links between the Tribe and the university community—advancing education access, supporting tribal students, and strengthening regional ties.

“The Pascua Yaqui Tribe values partnerships grounded in respect and opportunity,” said Julian Hernandez, Chairman of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. “Our collaboration with the University of Arizona reflects our shared commitment to education, cultural preservation, and community strength. This agreement honors the Tribe’s deep roots in this region and creates pathways for prosperity that will benefit our people and Southern Arizona for generations.”

The Pascua Yaqui Tribe has long been a cornerstone of Southern Arizona’s economic and cultural landscape. Through its enterprises, including Casino Del Sol, the Tribe has created thousands of jobs, generated substantial economic opportunity, and invested deeply in the vitality of Tucson and Pima County. This partnership extends that legacy in a new and impactful direction.

Casino Del Sol has a longstanding tradition of supporting Southern Arizona through events, sponsorships, and community programming. The stadium partnership creates new opportunities to bring larger-scale community events, expanded programming, and enhanced experiences to one of the region’s most iconic venues.

“This partnership represents more than an investment—it’s a reflection of our values and our commitment to this community,” said Lomayesva. “Casino Del Sol has always been about more than hospitality and entertainment. We are part of the cultural and economic fabric of Tucson, and this collaboration allows us to give back on a larger scale while deepening our roots in a place we proudly call home.”

The agreement was conceived, negotiated, and executed by Arizona Sports Enterprises (ASE), Arizona Athletics’ multimedia rights and corporate partnerships partner. ASE led a comprehensive process that included asset valuation, market testing, term modeling, brand safety reviews, and close consultation with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe to structure a long-term, values-aligned partnership.

The collaboration also aligns with the University of Arizona’s Bear Down Blueprint, which emphasizes building meaningful relationships with tribal nations grounded in respect for sovereignty, cultural understanding, and genuine partnership.

“For many here in Southern Arizona and around the country, Arizona Athletics offers a first glimpse of the University of Arizona,” said Suresh Garimella, President of the University of Arizona. “By naming one of our campus landmarks for Casino Del Sol, we are telling that audience how proud we are to partner with the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. Our land-grant mission calls us to engage with our community, and this collaboration is an innovative expression of that imperative.”

Alongside the partnership, Arizona Athletics will pursue a multiyear facilities enhancement plan to modernize fan amenities, student-athlete spaces, and event operations. This will include evaluating premium seating, concourse upgrades, accessibility, technology, and back-of-house improvements to elevate the game-day experience.

Casino Del Sol Stadium will continue to serve as a gathering place for generations of Wildcats fans, families, and communities—now carrying the name of an enterprise owned and operated by the Pascua Yaqui Tribe.
