A little over two weeks into the role of general manager at the Palms Casino Resort, Stephen Thayer shares with Deana Scott, Raving’s CEO, the two main focuses of the organization.
The first Las Vegas casino owned by a tribal organization, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, Thayer says that the priorities are making the Palms a second home to players of their Southern California sister property Yaamava’ Resort & Casino and embracing the local community.
A gaming industry veteran, Thayer shares that working for the tribe has, “Brought me back to my roots.” Adding, “The pride in the property extends past the brick and mortar piece of the Palms; they (the tribe) have pride in the team members and the guests.”
