SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., (September 22, 2025) — SAC Health celebrated the official opening of its new Brier Campus with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking a significant expansion of healthcare services in the community. The celebration included a major announcement of a generous $10 million donation from Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, further reinforcing SAC Health’s mission to provide comprehensive and accessible healthcare in the region.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at SAC Health’s Brier Campus on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Community leaders, healthcare professionals, and members of Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation gathered at the event which included remarks from SAC Health leadership: CEO, Jason Lohr, MD and Maryellen Westerberg, DrPH, chief of operations. Representatives from Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, led by Chairwoman Lynn Valbuena, presented a check to SAC Health. Other local officials such as Assembly Member James Ramos, and Helen Tran, mayor of the city of San Bernardino, were in attendance. After the ceremony, attendees had the opportunity to tour the new facility.

It will also allow us to enhance our services and reach more individuals in need.”
Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation, a long-standing pillar of the San Bernardino community, expressed their commitment to supporting local initiatives that foster health and prosperity.

The new SAC Health Brier Campus will ensure compassionate and comprehensive care to everyone.”
The new Brier Campus will offer primary care services, including family medicine and pediatrics, behavioral health and dental care, while also offering over 40 specialty care services. SAC Health provides basic and integral care to the most vulnerable individuals in the community of which 97% use Medi-Cal. The comprehensive offering is designed to provide an integrated whole-person care experience for patients who may otherwise have struggled with access to basic healthcare.
