El Cajon, Calif. (April 27, 2026) — Sycuan Casino Resort is officially kicking off its 2026 pool season with the opening of Retreat Pool & Cabanas today. The outdoor pool venue will be open daily featuring the seasonal return of its poolside events, food and beverage services and poolside amenities for guests looking to get away.
Retreat will turn up the music with upbeat mixes from DJs during its recurring poolside events, starting on Friday, May 1. Recurring pool parties include Industry Mondays, Ditch Fridays and Reggae Sundays. The Red, White and Swim series will also return with select holiday pool parties to celebrate Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day.
Along with the poolside events, Retreat will also offer a seasonal food and cocktail menu. Standout food options include Retreat Nachos, Fried Buttermilk Chicken Tenders and BBQ or Classic Buffalo Wings. Designed to pair with the food, the cocktail menu will include options like the Golden Hour made with Kuleana white rum, lime, strawberry, simple syrup, club soda and mint. The swim-up bar will be open for service.
On the pool deck, guests can enjoy a range of poolside amenities, including the lazy river, hot tubs and two pools. Ideal for unwinding, cabanas and daybeds with dedicated service will be available for reservation. For those looking to game poolside, Retreat Casino will be open with $5 blackjack tables and slots on select days.
With the opening of the pool venue, this is only the start of Retreat’s pool season. The casino resort will be announcing the return of The River— San Diego’s only country poolside party series—soon with a lineup of new artists and new additions to the experience.
