Airway Heights, WA (June 14, 2022) – Break out your ‘80s mixtapes and gear up for a walk down memory lane at Northern Quest Resort & Casino’s newest dining venue, Neon Pizza. Grand opening events include a tribal blessing and welcome starting at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, followed by a ceremonial pizza cutting at 6 p.m. with comedian Michael Winslow, the brilliant sound-effects cop made famous in the long-running Police Academy movie series. The restaurant will be open to the public at 6 p.m.
Located nearest the north family entrance at Northern Quest, this exciting new retro quick counter-service venue features delicious New York-style pizza by the huge, cheesy slice. Made to satisfy your tastebuds and delight ‘80s lovers with décor that celebrates classic rock music, try our signature chicken bacon ranch pizza, or classic pepperoni, cheese, supreme or margherita. Those five staple pizza combinations will headline the menu, with a rotating daily special bringing other popular combinations, including bacon cheeseburger, Hawaiian, and BBQ chicken, among others. For dessert, don’t miss Neon Pizza’s fun selection of vintage candy, including Nerds, Pop Rocks, Tootsie Roll Pops and Candy Cigarettes. Retro video arcade games include, Ms. Pac-Man, Centipede, Space Invaders, and The Simpsons, as well as classic pinball themes like Pirates of the Caribbean, Terminator, and Jurassic Park.

This grab-and-go dining option at Northern Quest is just what the resort needed for guests who want a quick and tasty bite to eat in a fun location, right in the heart of the greatest entertainment destination in the region.”
Two fun, exclusive ‘80s-inspired events will help kick off the grand opening of Neon Pizza. VIP casino players have been invited to a stand-up comedy show featuring sound-effects legend, Michael Winslow, on Wednesday, June 15 at 7 p.m. On Thursday, June 16, VIP guests have been invited to a fun luncheon where they can try delicious slices of pizza from Neon, while listening to a “reunion” panel of celebrity guests from the Revenge of the Nerds movie series, including Robert Carradine (Lewis), Curtis Armstrong (Booger), and Larry B. Scott (Lamar). The panel will be moderated by Molly Allen from 92.9 KZZU-FM.
The small but mighty Neon Pizza has 1,300 square feet of space and a capacity of nearly 50, with high-top counters for guests to dine in-house and easy, grab-and-go convenience. The design and build teams are all local to the Inland Northwest. The restaurant was designed by HDG Architecture. Lydig Construction served as the General Contractor, with other local trade partners, including electrical from Power City Electric, mechanical from Metalcraft Mechanical (Hayden, ID), plumbing from Mackin & Little, and flooring from Ibex Flooring. Other local partners include DCI Engineers, Kartchner Engineering, KRW, LLC, WPI, Cramer Brothers Millwork, Reynolds Woodcraft, Krueger Sheet Metal, and JC Wright Lighting. The album wall décor was framed by Frame It Today, and the arcade games were sourced by Bullseye Amusement.
Neon Pizza will open to the public on Wednesday, June 15 at 6 p.m. It will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.
