NNAHRA was formed 23 years ago in the Northwest with a few Tribes represented. Today, nearly 350 Tribes are represented by over 2000 members. The Board of Directors are elected by membership and are all employed by Tribes in the Human Resources profession. Ten years ago, the Board initiated the Tribal Human Resources Professional (THRP) Certification program. The intensive course has provided education and resources to over 1000 members to date. The core mission of NNAHRA and THRP is to strengthen the sovereignty of our Tribal Nations through effective Human Resources best practices.
