Gallup, NM (April 23, 2026) – Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (Navajo Gaming) proudly announces the appointment of Mike Apachee as Lead Casino Shift Manager at Fire Rock Navajo Casino.
Apachee’s journey with Navajo Gaming began in 2018 at Twin Arrows Navajo Casino Resort, where he started as a summer student intern in Sales and Marketing. His early experience sparked a passion for the organization and led to continued growth opportunities, including participation in the enterprise’s “Let’s Build a Business” internship program. During that time, he worked alongside executive leadership and fellow interns to help develop and launch the Navajo Blue Travel Plaza.
He later transitioned into operations at Navajo Blue, where he played a key role in brand development, design, construction, and marketing efforts. Following the plaza’s opening in 2020, Apachee advanced into leadership roles, including supervisory and management positions, ultimately serving as Travel Plaza Manager. In that role, he focused on team development, operational excellence, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
As Lead Casino Shift Manager at Fire Rock Navajo Casino, Apachee will oversee daily casino operations, support team leadership, and ensure a high level of guest service across the gaming floor. His role will be instrumental in maintaining operational efficiency while upholding Navajo Gaming’s standards for service and hospitality.
“I am honored to join the Fire Rock team in this new role,” said Apachee. “I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had to grow within Navajo Gaming and look forward to bringing that experience to Fire Rock—supporting our team and continuing to deliver outstanding experiences for our guests.”
Originally from Lupton, Arizona, Apachee enjoys attending concerts, reading, traveling, and building meaningful connections within his community.
