MORONGO CASINO RESORT & SPA (November 30, 2022) – Citing its beautifully renovated suites and rooms, its “delectable dining choices” and its mix of thrilling gaming, Los Angeles Times readers have named the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa near Palm Springs, CA as the Best Casino in the Southland, according to recently-released survey results.
The newspaper’s 2022 Best of the Southland Readers’ Choice poll employed an exhaustive nomination and voting process that engaged readers across Southern California who named the towering 27-story gaming hot spot as the area’s best casino in the poll’s Entertainment & Living category. Expanded in 2020, Morongo boasts one of the largest gaming floors in California.
“We can’t thank our guests enough for this wonderful distinction as the Southland’s best casino,” said Richard St. Jean, Morongo’s Chief Operating Officer. “Nothing is better than receiving an award that’s determined by the ultimate judge – our guests. We’ll continue to go above and beyond to exceed expectations – it’s who we are what makes Morongo great.”
In its rankings of the best casinos, the Best of the Southland survey noted Morongo’s elegant amenities also includes the highly-rated Oasis Pool which features a lazy river and secluded VIP casitas for the ultimate resort experience.
The honors are among the latest for Morongo, which has previously been named as the #1 Southern California casino by Yahoo Travel and the Best Casino Resort by Southern California Gaming Guide. Earlier this year, Wine Spectator, America’s premier wine guide, bestowed the critically acclaimed Cielo Steakhouse at Morongo with a national Award of Excellence for an 8th consecutive year in recognition of the AAA-Four Diamond restaurant’s excellent wine lists and distinctive menu.
In addition to naming the Morongo Casino Resort & Spa as the Best Casino of the Southland, LA Times readers also named Morongo the Best casino in multiple regions throughout Southern California, including San Gabriel Valley/Inland Empire, South Bay/Long Beach/South L.A./Southeast L.A., and Westside/Downtown/East L.A.
