Marisela Esqueda is a Mexican-American singer and businesswoman, and the daughter of Mexican immigrants.  Her first album was recorded in the mid-1980s and among some of her most famous songs are: “Mi problema,” “Enamorada y herida,” “Sin él,” “Completamente tuya,” “Sola con mi soledad,” “El chico aquel,” and, one of her biggest hits and what she is now called, “Tu dama de hierro.”

Marisela released her first album at the age of 15. Her sensuality and blonde hair have contributed to her fame as much as her youthful vocal style. She debuted in the Mexican variety program Siempre en Domingo, led by Raul Velasco.  “Mi amor por ti” was her second success and, together with Marco Antonio Solis, she recorded her hit “La pareja ideal,” ranked as the best duet of the 80s.

The second stage of her career is without the lyrical support of Mr. Solis. This is how Marisela covers from different composers and even writes and records songs of her own. She recorded several of her hits in the style of “Banda.” In 2007 she released a new record entitled Noches Eternas where she sings some of his greatest hits in a ranchera version, she also included her own versions of “Me gusta estar contigo” and “Fue tan poco tu cariño” de Rocio Durcal.

Treena Parvello, Director of Public Relations and Communications for the Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise, said “Tucson loves Marisela and she always packs the house when she comes to town. We’re very excited to welcome her back to the Diamond Center for another night of amazing music! Get your tickets early, because they’re sure to go fast!”
