Latin Rhythms and Country Beats Take Over April at Fire Rock Navajo Casino

Northern New Mexico’s premier concert venue announces a lively lineup of regional artists and crowd favorites.

WHAT:
Fire Rock Navajo Casino announces an April music lineup full of Latin rhythms, country beats, and all-time fan favorites. All performances take place at one of northern New Mexico’s premier concert venues, Fire Rock Navajo Casino near Gallup, surrounded by the beautiful Red Rocks on historic Route 66.

It all gets started April 3 and 4 with Severo y Grupo Fuego. This band from Albuquerque, New Mexico, is known for their vibrant cumbia rhythms and energetic performances. Founded in 2010 by Severo Martinez and Adrian Medina, they have gained popularity for their infectious melodies and diverse musical influences.

Award-winning artist Micky Cruz takes the stage April 10 and 11. Micky’s music is best described as cumbia, salsa, and reggae with an interesting, refreshing twist. Micky has combined styles together and invented “Cumbegue” music. Totally unique, Cumbegue music takes the best elements of cumbia, salsa, and reggae and blends them into a strong, danceable beat coupled with great melodic hooks and harmonies, all capped off with exciting solos throughout the band.

Most Wanted is up next. While the band is known for country music, they also add Top 40 hits, doo-wop, cumbias, and rancheras, helping keep that Latin beat alive throughout the month.

The San Carlos Apache music group Aravaipa brings it home April 24 and 25. Aravaipa is sweeping the Southwest like a range fire, with a set list that seems to target everyone’s sweet spot. Artists such as Fogerty, Strait, the Eagles, Yoakam, Cougar Mellencamp, and Marley are showcased to connect with their diverse audience.
