San Diego, CA (May 5, 2025) — The Indian Gaming Association proudly hosted its annual Chairman’s Golf Classic on Monday, March 31 at the beautiful Singing Hills Golf Club at Sycuan, bringing together tribal leaders, casino execs and suppliers for a memorable day of sport, new connections and giving back. The event was part of a full week of networking opportunities at the annual Indian Gaming Tradeshow & Convention.
One of the day’s highlights was a special mini clinic and meet-and-greet session with PGA Tour Champion, Peter Jacobsen, who spent time sharing tips, and engaging with participants throughout the event. Peter’s historic career consisted of seven PGA TOUR victories, including the 1995 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-AM and the 2003 Greater Hartford Open. He is currently a PGA TOUR analyst for NBC and Golf Channel.
Thanks to the incredible support from the participants and the generosity of our sponsors, a donation was made to the Native Forward Scholars Fund, which funds the betterment of Tribal education throughout North America. The Native Forward Scholars Fund awards approximately $15 million in scholarships annually and have awarded over $350 million since their inception.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our sponsors, whose support made this event possible.
Concluded Indian Gaming Association Chairman Ernie Stevens, Jr, “We’re incredibly proud of how this year’s tournament brought people together – not just for a great day of golf and connections, but to support Tribal education. The generosity of our hosts at Sycuan as well as the sponsors and players reminds us of the impact we can make when we come together.”
