Gun Lake Casino issues $7.4 Million in Biannual Revenue Payment

Wayland, Mich. (June 7, 2022) – Gun Lake Casino’s revenue-sharing continues to make a major impact throughout the local community and the State of Michigan. The biannual payment stemming from the period of October 1, 2021, to March 31, 2022, amounted to over $7.4 million to three different recipient entities.
 
The State of Michigan Strategic Fund will receive over $4.1 million which will help award grants to businesses throughout the state and create jobs. Since the first payment in 2011, Gun Lake Casino has shared over $111 million with the strategic fund.
 
Over $1.2 million of the recent payment will impact GLIMI, a non-gaming economic development organization with both tribe and state oversight. GLIMI has seen over $19.5 million from Gun Lake Casino to date.
 
The local revenue share board will receive just over $2 million which continues to impact the surrounding communities around the Gun Lake Casino property. The seven surrounding local townships will receive a share of the local revenue along with Allegan County, Wayland Union Schools, and the Allegan Area Educational Service Agency. Since 2011, over $42 million has been donated through the local revenue share board.

This payment brings Gun Lake Casino’s total payments to over $173 million since its opening in 2011.
