UCSON, Ariz. (March 24, 2023) — Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment welcomes ‘70s rock band, Grand Funk Railroad, to the Diamond Center on July 22, 2023. Tickets start at $30 and can be purchased through Etix and at Desert Diamond Casino’s Box Office starting at 10 a.m. on Monday, March 27. Doors open at 7 p.m.; show starts at 8 p.m. Anyone exhibiting COVID-19 or flu-like symptoms, or with recent exposure to a person with COVID-19, is asked to stay home.
Originating from Flint, Michigan in 1969, this top selling American rock group of the 70’s is “COMIN’ TO YOUR TOWN TO HELP YOU PARTY IT DOWN”. Grand Funk Railroad is extremely excited to be touring in 2023 marking a 54-year milestone. Known as “The American Band”, the high-energy five-piece group includes original founding members Don Brewer (vocals and drums, writer and singer of the multi-million selling hit, We’re an American Band) and bassist Mel Schacher, “The God of Thunder.” Joining Don and Mel are singer Max Carl, a rock veteran from 38 Special, lead guitarist Bruce Kulick, best known for his 12 years with KISS, and keyboardist Tim Cashion.
