GOOD MEDICINE is Coming – Join Our Movement

Sept 3 | Window Rock | Navajo Nation Fairgrounds

This isn’t just a giveaway—it’s a movement grounded in wellness, joy, and cultural pride. GOOD MEDICINE Youth Day is our first official event under this new banner, and it’s about showing up for the next generation in meaningful, lasting ways.

We’ll be distributing:

  • 🛹 2,000 skateboards
  • 👟 7,000 pairs of shoes
  • 💛 Essential items for Diné families

But more than that—we’re creating a full experience: skate mentors, music, storytelling, and community care. A day of connection and celebration, where Indigenous youth can reclaim movement and joy.

Purpose

It’s a large-scale community distribution and celebration designed to support Diné children and families while uplifting wellness, creativity, and confidence. The event brings together Indigenous youth programs, skate culture, fashion, and mutual aid under 4KINSHIP’s leadership.

Distribution Highlights

  • 2,000 skateboards distributed through the Diné Skate Garden Project and Rolling Thunder Supply.
  • 7,000 pairs of shoes donated by Native Shoes.
  • Essential family goods including diapers, hygiene kits, backpacks, and supplies from Baby2Baby.
  • On-the-ground logistics & volunteer support from CORE Response.

Community Impact

  • Continues 4KINSHIP’s mutual aid work started during COVID-19.
  • Expands on past distributions (e.g., 5,000 skateboards in 2024).
  • Provides both immediate relief and long-term empowerment for Navajo youth.
  • Connects directly to the Diné Skate Garden Project, which not only provides skateparks but also mentorship and community programs led by Diné youth like Shawnshine and Di’Orr.

Schedule (around Youth Day)

  • Aug 31: Volunteer + CORE team arrivals.
  • Sept 1–2: Unpacking and staging at Gorman Hall.
  • Sept 3: Full-scale distribution during Youth Day.

It’s both a mutual aid action and a celebration of Indigenous resilience and creativity.
