Cache Creek Casino Resort 2nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament Raises $137,000 for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Brooks, Calif. (June 19, 2024) – On May 16, Cache Creek Casino Resort and the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation proudly hosted their second annual charity golf tournament at the stunning Yocha Dehe Golf Club. This event, in collaboration with partners from various industries nationwide, brought together a community dedicated to making a difference.

Tribal leaders, vendors, and community partners gathered at the championship golf course with hopes of raising at least $100,000 for the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano counties. The initial projections were far exceeded, with $137,000 raised going directly to the organization. The organization serves 400,000 residents monthly in Contra Costa and Solano counties, strives to serve all people experiencing food insecurity, and commits never to turn anyone away.

“The Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation remains steadfast in our commitment to building strong, inclusive communities,” expressed Anthony Roberts, Tribal Chairman of Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. “We are deeply honored to share the natural beauty of our ancestral homelands with our cherished partners. Together, we strive to raise vital funds to support the noble mission of ending hunger, ensuring that no one in our community goes without the nourishment they need.
