Coachella, CA (September 19, 2025) – The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians is excited to announce a new opportunity for local artists to share their work with the community. Seven Feathers, the recently reimagined restaurant located within Augustine Casino, is seeking Coachella Valley artists to exhibit their artwork on the restaurant’s walls for two-month periods.
This initiative aims to support and promote local artists while enriching the dining experience for Seven Feathers patrons. The restaurant will provide a platform for artists to showcase their creativity and potentially sell their pieces. In recognition of their talent and contribution, participating artists will receive a monthly honorarium for the duration of their exhibition, with all sales proceeds from their work going directly to the artist.
“We are thrilled to offer this unique opportunity to local artists,” said Amanda Augustine, Tribal Chairperson. “Our restaurant is a beloved community gathering place and we believe that incorporating local art will enhance the overall atmosphere, create a vibrant space for everyone to enjoy and provide a platform for talented local artists to display their work.”
For its Grand Opening, Seven Feathers is featuring a special exhibition by local artist Deanna Fainelli. Fainelli’s art, rooted in exploration and discovery, transforms memories and the subtle details of everyday life into layered abstract, semi-abstract, and figurative compositions. Her creative journey, which includes careers in graphic design and photojournalism, has honed her eye for composition and narrative, infusing her work with a quiet poetry that reflects the beauty of ordinary life. Her paintings, which blend acrylic and oil pigments with paper and other found materials, have been exhibited throughout California, including at the SFMOMA Artist Gallery at Fort Mason, and have been featured in national collaborations with CB2. The Tribe is honored to showcase her work as they welcome the community to Seven Feathers.
Artists interested in participating can submit an application detailing their artistic style, contact information, and examples of their work. For more information or to obtain an application, please visitwww.augustinecasino.com/seven-feathers-gallery.
