Sportradar (NASDAQ: SRAD) and the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, LLC (NASCAR) today announced a multi-year partnership to fortify the sport against the imposing, expanding threat of illegal match-fixing activities and operations.
Sportradar Integrity Services, a unit of top global sports data company Sportradar, will provide NASCAR with its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS) for all races in the NASCAR Cup Series™, NASCAR Xfinity Series™, and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series™.
More than 150 sports leagues (NBA, MLB, NHL, etc.) and 85% of U.S. bookmakers depend on Sportradar’s Integrity Services in safeguarding their ethics. In 2021, the UFDS uncovered a record number of suspicious matches resulting in dozens of sanctions – demonstrating the rising threat of match-fixing as sports betting is legalized en masse.
“Our partnership with Sportradar is a foundational component to the success of NASCAR’s involvement with sports betting,” said Joe Solosky, Managing Director of Sports Betting, NASCAR. “When we began our journey into legal sports betting, our first priority was the integrity of our product.”
Andreas Krannich, the Managing Director of Sportradar Integrity Services, is available to discuss the partnership with NASCAR, the global fight against match-fixing, and more. He’ll tell you about:
- The role of Sportradar’s market-leading volume of sports data in detecting suspicious activity and the ways in which signature technology is used to detect abnormalities against its AI models
- NASCAR’s leveraging of Sportradar’s Intelligence & Investigation Services, Integrity Audit Services, and Handle Estimation & Reporting Services as part of the partnership
- Integrity in professional sports, the role of live data in match-fixing, and the consequences of unlawful use of sports statistics
