WASHINGTON (December 23, 2020) – Maverick Cares is honoring its one-year anniversary as part of its most recent endeavor to partner with community organizations and give away meals for 16,000 people. Established as a ‘good neighbor’ program of Maverick Gaming that is managed by its team members, Maverick Cares has connected with more than 70 organizations, including city leaders, to provide 61,600 meals since it began one year ago. The pre-packaged meals this December be distributed using vouchers issued in advance and will include such items as: Ham, Turkey Breast, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Dinner Rolls, Pumpkin Pie. Participating families will be able to show their vouchers to Maverick Cares volunteers on-site and pick up their holiday meal today from 3 PM to 7PM in the parking lots of designated locations listed below. Maverick Cares is proud to partner on this event with local community leaders such as Edmonds Food Bank, Imagine Housing, Kennewick Police Department, The Genesis Project Seattle, Shoreline-Lake Forest Park Senior Center, Boys & Girls Club of Benton and Franklin Counties, Washington Kids in Transition, YMCA of Greater Seattle, Swire Coca-Cola, Kennewick School District, Isernio’s Sausage Company, Communities In Schools of Benton-Franklin, City of Renton, City of Tukwila, Waypoint, Tyson Chicken, El Centro de la Raza and 20 additional organizations to make this family holiday giveaway possible.
