Santa Ana Pueblo, NM (October 2, 2024) – AMERIND, the county’s only 100 percent Tribally owned insurance provider, is excited to announce that the 19th Annual AMERIND Golf Fundraiser has raised over $120,000 to benefit Native communities and families across the United States.
Funds raised through the Golf Fundraiser will support the AMERIND Protecting Tribal Families Fund and the National Native American Human Resources Association (NNAHRA) Foundation.
AMERIND Protecting Tribal Families Fund was developed to assist Native American families who do not have homeowners’ insurance and have experienced a devastating loss or unforeseen disaster. Since 2004 the fund has raised more than $600,000 year-to-date.
This year’s honorary beneficiary, the NNAHRA Foundation, provides trusted information and resources to those serving and leading Tribal government and enterprises in areas of people management, employment policy development and capacity building across Indian Country. Funds raised through the Golf Tournament will go towards Foundation scholarships and educational programs.
“As the only 100% tribally owned insurance company, our dedication extends beyond merely providing insurance to tribes,” said Derek Valdo, Chief Executive Officer. “We are deeply committed to giving back to the communities we serve!”
AMERIND will continue the tradition of giving back next year, with the 20th Annual Golf Fundraiser set for Thursday, April 24, 2025 at the Santa Ana Golf Club, Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico.
