Tribal Administrator Position Open

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Middletown Rancheria Tribal Council, the Tribal Administrator will coordinate the different departments of the Tribal Government, execute governmental projects, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Tribe. This position will entail many facets of the Tribe’s overall grants management and responsibilities will cover all aspects of the Tribal Government Operations. This will include accountability and decision-making skills regarding the ICWA department, Tribal Youth activities, Environmental and Tribal maintenance departments, and managing various grant requirements and implementing objectives set forth by the Tribe in federal and/or state grants, with inter-departmental communications for an overall smooth governmental operation. Strong familiarity with Tribal history and Native American governance is required and some knowledge of cultural and environmental issues, including protection laws and practices. This position will develop, implement and monitor strategies, policies, and programs that promote sustainable development for the Tribal Community and be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication between the Tribal Government and the Tribal Community. Create, design, implement, oversee and report on all projects and studies which pertain to the goals and objectives of the Tribal Governmental Operations, the Tribal Council and the Middletown Rancheria of Pomo Indians of California.
