JAMUL, Calif. (August 12, 2025) — C.W. Driver Companies, a leading general contractor, announced the grand opening of Jamul Casino Resort. The new 16-story hotel tower delivers a world-class hospitality option to a mountainous, historic tribal community just east of Downtown San Diego. Jamul Casino Resort is located next to the existing casino, which continuously draws the attention of tourists and locals.
The development of the 253,951 square-foot hotel required careful coordination and planning. Prior to construction, the existing Tribal administration modular building was relocated, and the Community Center was demolished to make way for the hotel. During construction, C.W. Driver worked with its partners to ensure the existing casino and other on-site facilities could stay open and operational without disruption.
The hotel was built to seamlessly integrate with the nearby casino. C.W. Driver constructed a climate-controlled, enclosed pedestrian sky bridge to help guests travel freely from one place to another.
Jamul Casino Resort was also constructed to provide an array of hospitality options and amenities for guests. The 200-key hotel comprises 148 standard guest rooms and 52 suites, providing ample options for parties of different sizes. The resort enhances relaxation through an 11,000 square foot rooftop pool deck with a jetted hot tub, cabanas, and rooftop bar. The hotel also has a 4,800 square-foot restaurant, retail space, full-service spa and salon with outdoor deck, fitness center, meeting and banquet facilities, along with an adjacent 119,634 square-foot parking structure with 257 spots (31 allocated for electric vehicles).
“After successfully completing the Jamul Casino in 2016, it is a privilege to continue our relationship with Jamul Indian Village and bring this high-end hotel to life,” said Keith Kauffman, project executive at C.W. Driver Companies. “Jamul holds important historical significance and building a hotel tower that brings guests to this special place is an honor.”
“We are deeply grateful to C.W. Driver for helping us bring our vision to life—a resort that not only complements Jamul Casino but also honors the spirit and heritage of our Tribe,” said Erica M. Pinto, Chairwoman of the Jamul Indian Village. “This hotel represents more than growth; it’s a meaningful step in creating lasting opportunities for our Tribal community and welcoming guests into the heart of who we are.”
“We appreciate C.W. Driver for building a resort that blends seamlessly with Jamul Casino,” said Mary Cheeks, President & General Manager of Jamul Casino Resort. “This new hotel is a key step in transforming us into a true destination—offering an immersive experience that will keep guests returning again and again.”
